Briançon is a Haute Alpes town famous for being fortified by Vauban in the 17th century.
The most important street is the Grande Gargouille, meaning the great water spouter.
The street own its name of a water stream flooding right in the middle of the street to provide water when there is a fire.
And of course, it is lined with shops, cafés, and restaurants.
We had such a lovely day here.
